teachers in Nigeria (UBEC 2022),
we are breaking barriers of
poor-quality teacher training

Who we are

ACE Education is providing access to quality multilingual learning for the 21st century through transformative teacher training and leadership development. Our vision is to see a nation where all teachers are empowered to provide quality multilingual learning in schools.

How we work

Our strategy is to utilise capacity-building initiatives through knowledge sharing, training, and advocacy to empower teachers.

Knowledge Exchange Program (KEP)

We believe that teachers are the most essential resource for improving students’ learningThrough our KEP Initiative, qualified volunteer teachers from the UK travel to provide in-person, extensive and practical training sessions to Government school teachers in Nigeria. The initiative provides teachers with up-to-date conceptual, technical knowledge and skills needed to improve their efficiency in classroom instruction. Nigerian teachers are trained to apply gender-sensitive, inclusive pedagogy appropriate for resource-poor settings, classroom management techniques including how to apply modern teaching techniques that incorporate the different learning abilities of the learners.

Workshops:

We train educators with relevant soft skills in leadership, communication, problem-solving, teamwork and conflict management through workshops, conferences and seminars to encourage their continuous professional development. To ensure project sustainability, we target Government school heads particularly, to ensure the lead by example and are fully equipped with resources needed to pass on knowledge to their team.

ACE Charity Africa Radio School

ACE Radio School for teachers

ACE Education collaborates with ACE Charity to address the crucial educational need for teachers in rural and disadvantaged communities. This program transforms educational lessons (typically delivered by our volunteer teachers during physical training sessions), into engaging audio content for radio broadcast. By leveraging radio as an educational medium, ACE Education ensures equitable access to training for teachers in marginalised areas .

Advocacy & Research

We utilise research in gathering evidence-led insights that champion the advancement of education. Through partnership with the Government, we are also involved in reviewing and updating the existing Nigerian school curriculum.
