Sustainability at ACE Education
Aligned with the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG4) which aims to achieve inclusive/equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all, our goals and objectives focus on inclusivity and sustainability that will positively transform the quality of education in Nigeria. Some of our sustainable approaches include;
Teacher Training
Through capacity-building efforts, such as multilingual teacher training programs, we are empowering educators with valuable lifelong skills that they can effectively impart to their students. Our multilingual training approach highlights our dedication to addressing language barriers faced by disadvantaged teachers who may have difficulties in teaching English.
To ensure the longevity of our training programs, we record training sessions provided by volunteer teachers, and share these recorded materials with school heads of beneficiary schools. The school heads are trained to facilitate training and retraining sessions with newly recruited and existing staff using these resources. School heads are also provided with an implementation assessment tool to assess the level of implementation of training by the teachers.
Leadership development
Our workshops ensures that educators are equipped with life-long skills that enable them to keep pace with global standards and expectations.
ACE Radio School for teachers
Considering our target audience (government school teachers), as well as the existing challenges in Nigeria, such as limited internet access and electricity, particularly in disadvantaged communities, the ACE Radio School for teachers is an inclusive solution aimed at providing educational access for all, especially those in rural and far flung communities thereby bridging the gap of educational poverty.
