Problem statement
Over 60% of Nigerian teachers lack the capacity to prepare students for 21st-century learning. According to a UNESCO report (2022), they either lack basic qualifications, and continuous professional development to keep up with emerging changes in education. These have contributed to the abysmally low educational performance in Nigeria, and poor learning outcomes for school children as evidenced in the statistics above.
Our solution
ACE Education works to improve the quality of education in Nigeria, through sustainable and inclusive approaches. We do this by creating capacity-building initiatives such as knowledge sharing, training, and leadership development that are executed through implementation of multilingual education and incorporation of updated teaching methodologies. By adopting multilingual education, we foster comprehensiveness, inclusivity and make learning appealing. This approach has also been reported by UNESCO to promote literacy in the mother and second language, encourage girl child education, and improve the ability to understand concepts. With our target on Government schools, we are improving the capacity of teachers, enabling them with the skillsets to transform learning outcomes of underserved pupils/students.
